There are 3 parts to our financial support of church planting…
1. FIEC
The Fellowship of Evangelical churches (of which Northern Lakes Evangelical Church is part of) is on about seeking to plant more churches.
- Provide additional money for new churches in their early start-up phase
- Pay for the cost of the annual conference and help with travel expenses for long distance participants
- Pay a small salary for our chaplain/staff-worker (Jim Ramsay). Jim raises awareness and promotes FIEC for more church plants. For example, he has recently been to Broken Hill to help organise a church plant there.
- Pay for website and promotional/advertising expenses.
2. Forster Church Plant
Coast Evangelical Church at Forster is a young church helping to share Jesus in that area. Our support is helping them get off the ground, in much the same way we received support from other churches a few years ago. http://www.coastec.net.au/
3. Geneva Push
Geneva Push is an Australian church planting network. We aim to raise up a new generation of church planters dedicated to evangelising churches into existence across this great nation.
Geneva Push will be assisting church planting in two main ways:
- By recruiting, assessing, training and supporting Australian church planters as they get things started
- By working with existing networks, churches and denominations around the country to provide them with the church planters they need to reach Australia with the gospel
